Storm drains on Westbound Glenwood avenue stuffed with pine straw and other debris. During recent heavy rain large pools of water extending into traffic causing cars to swerve to avoid them. Second or third time reporting. Seems citywide drains need cleaning from debris

Sonoco truck pulled into center lane West on Rogers Ln. Car traveling at speed evaded the truck abruptly forcing it to come closely to the curb (me). The complaint is that traffic is moving at great speed and in some cases overrunning slower traffic (heavy trucks). Feel that a traffic study is warranted for speed and volume due to high volume of pedestrian traffic, the industrial nature of the area and recently added emergency response services on S. Rogers Ln. Speed could be lowered to 35mph with little to no impact to travels. Additionally the area has been reduced to 35mph to accommodate the new school.

Some drains covered with debris with some possibly being full of mud. Pending rain from Hurricane could contribute to additional flooding at Crabtree and a safety concern for hydroplaning.

In the morning (7AM) the leading green for left turn does not work correctly or is very spotty. The large SONOCO trucks and freight for Elster, Barbours, Revere turning left often have to wait through a complete light to turn. The problem now is compounded by the addition of a turning lane.

Westbound lane on Millbrook road the pavement layers have pulled up. It has progressively gotten worse and bad enough that cars sometimes have to change lanes abruptly. This has been an issue in this area before the road was repaved. The newest paving did not hold up as long as the older road. What will it take to get this repaired?
  • 5145-5161 Glenwood Avenue Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
Noticed Glenwood Ave from Crabtree Valley towards Pleasant Valley the drains all along Glenwood are full of Pine Needles/Leaves and debris. Also the street gutters all along this stretch are full of sand and grass. Was bad earlier in the week with moderate rains. Large puddles out into the roadway. Could be a safety issue with the large amount of rain expected in next 24-48 hours

At Exit 420 the ramp is heavily potted. It has been patched several times but continues to fail. It appears that during the summer the heat softens the asphalt and it rolls or shifts. Now that the temps have cooled and frozen the asphalt has broken and popped out in places. Needs a thorough dig up and replace with an engineered solution.

The signal timing when turning left from Creedmoor onto Millbrook road (west bound) is extreemly short during the 4pm to 6pm traffic push. With the light being so short this is backing up traffic sometimes in front of Hardees. Northbound Creedmoor Rd traffic is also backing up at the Millbrook light towards Crabtree valley below Plaza Pl. Intersection. Traffic is being blocked also by cars entering Creedmoor Rd by traffic from the Plaza Pl.
