Description
There are cars parked on the odd side of the street for the entire 5 block length of Truman Street. This one way roadway is already narrowed because of the inadequate plowing from the last snow storm. A plow actually went thru the drivers side door of a car that was parked on the odd side of the street during a ban during the last storm. If the City will not enforce the parking ban, and have them towed so the plows can come down, then the cars should at least be ticketed so the offending residents will be made aware of their offense.

The Mayor declared a SNOW EMERGENCY, I received an automated call from EOC, and this notice is on the City of New Haven Mayor's Website: "(2/13/2014) New Haven – Mayor Toni N. Harp today declared a snow emergency in New Haven, clearing the way for additional help in the city’s efforts to combat severe winter weather. ... A comparable parking ban is anticipated for midnight Friday until 6:00 a.m. Saturday; residents are reminded that during a snow emergency parking is prohibited within 25 feet of fire hydrants, intersections, and city bus stops."
There are signs on the odd side of Truman Street that indicate NO PARKING during SNOW EMERGENCIES.
Very confusing!!!
In any event, plowing is needed on Truman Street to clear the snow so vehicles (including plows, refuse trucks, school buses and emergency vehicles) can safely pass. Truman, King, Clover and Frank have not seen a plow since the ONE PASS that was made during the storm on Wednesday.
