Description
Yesterday (November 19th) we were walking our dogs through City Park and noticed that all of the trash and recycling containers located on the Custer side of City Park were knocked/blown over and the trash was spilling out. I picked them all back up, put the trash/recycling inside them, closed them and put them against things (sign posts, etc) to help keep them from being blown over (assuming that is how they fell over). Perhaps the waste removal company could use containers that can stand up to the wind so that our park isn't trashed by trash that people tried to dispose of properly.

The bins in the park, have wheels, for maneuverability, on P /u days..... they are rolled to the curb, we had a wind event, yep. but how often? warrant the cost.
Belle Isle, uses the plastic pickle barrels with a rope loop , to go around a wooden post, now when used the barrels get so heavy, the employee by passes them to heavy, or dont take the time to put barrel loop back around the post. Trust me Belle Isle gets a lot of constant wind..... one time they had 72 barrels in the lagoons....... not the same, in away it is.

What I have noticed in the pass, (at the park) the Totes along Washington, West side of N. Custard, do not get compromised, the ones which remain standing, in a storm, are on flat ground to start with.
A couple of weeks ago, (No storm) seems like 75% or more were tipped over, on P /U day, I can not believe, that Mr. Tringali, or the Truck Driver, would stand for them to be left that way.
The ones I see discombobulated, to the world, are on the hump, or unevenness at the Curb.
If empty, and some one is in a car, flips the cover over, this could cause the Tote to lean backwards.
(I personally, like them at the curb, and use them, quite often, I eat in my car quite often, enjoying the sun and its warmth.

is there a solution to "KIDS TIPPING THEM OVER ?"
I was trying to keep from saying that. I, witnessed one day, kids flipping the covers, totes falling over was the entertainment, My totes, same type & size, from Tringali, didnt get blown over, Yes, I was looking at the cost effectiveness. in the long run, I feel they are well used.
