Over the weekend signs were posted on trees and utility poles for street sweeping...last night they were removed and my car was towed this morning.

I am well aware street sweeping occurs every fourth Monday according to the permanent sign in front of the house I live in. However what I do not understand nor appreciate is the inconsistency of which side of the street the city will sweep. Hand held signs stating what side will be sweeped are tacked onto trees and utility poles lining the street. The side does not always correlate with the permanent sign. It changes all of the time and now I have to pay a fee in order to get my car back. I have lived here for three years and not once have I ever been towed because of this. I realize this is the last Monday of the season for street sweeping but please adhere to the signs posted by the city.

it is best to realize that the main reason that street sweeping still exists is to be a bonanza for those who are connected w city hall. Workers are paid OT to post these signs (and slowly kill our trees) and then towing companies who have given $$ to the mayor and/or the dem party get sweetheart money to to and store cars (look it up). Getting the streets clean or communicating to those who park is of little concern

Also, I agree with Everit St re posting signs to trees. I posted an issue on this previously but no one seems to care about tree health. http://seeclickfix.com/issues/1335726

Thanks for all of your feedback during the 2016 Street Sweeping Season which operated from April-November. Since the weather so far has been somewhat mild, we have been able to sweep extra along arterial locations. Our seasonal focus now shifts to snow so we are closing this category. We will once again review your feedback before planning for the Street Sweeping 2017 Season. Happy New Year!
