This type of quick fix patchwork seems to be indicative of the lack of excellence and pride in the City. I see things like this in the historic district as well as all over town. There are potholes and crumbling curbs on St. Charles. It is really sad. We are spending a lot of money to have status quo instead of excellence. Sad! Please fix the brick pavers and do it right!

These patches were placed on Friday before the bike race (to smooth the 'track'). That is the bike race that shut down the entire area from just south of Jefferson to and including Clark, Monroe, Adams, Riverside Drive and Main Street. No owners could get to their businesses and they had very few customers. We are left with businesses suffering a bad day and asphalt patches in the brick street.
