St. Charles PLUS

The City of St. Charles Public Parking Garage has steps that are boarded off and can't be used by the Public. Why aren't these steps repaired? It's been over a year since the garage "reopened." The public paid to have the garage remodeled, and it does not look nice. There are tire marks (skid marks) on the floor of the garage that is painted gray. It does not look like a newly remodeled parking garage. I took guests there over the weekend to park for the MOsaics Art Festival, and I was embarrassed of the "recently renovated" parking garage. Get the boarded-up steps fixed, clean it up, repaint or reseal the garage floor, maintain it to higher standards. The alley behind the garage is sketchy. This is one of the "entrances" to downtown Main Street. It looks terrible. Sad.

When we moved here, in the year 2000, I noticed this poor abandoned home. I was hesitant to buy a home here because of an abandoned building so close by, but I thought that it would soon be rectified because most of the other homes in the area look good. That was 17 years ago. It is still abandoned

The north side of the house has an exceptional long set of steps in the yard that has been an ongoing problem with orange cones at the top of the steps. The cones are a safety warning the steps are too dangerous for use. This situation has existed for years

Front porch supported by four posts. The intent was to restore, but has been in this state for over a year.

Yard waste and debris piled up in driveway, shudders cracked and falling off front of house, siding melted and falling off back of house fire damaged fencing partially left up and swimming pool removed but deck surround remains standing. Most of these issues have existed for more than a month.

This place looks hideous. Abandoned structures, unkept signage, peeling paint, weeds and debris all over this property. located right on the First Capitol Gateway to our otherwise FINE CITY.

Building has been damaged for several months due to some sort of impact to the corner of the structure. No activity has been executed to fix it.

Retaining wall on the sidewalk is non-functional and broken rock has laid in this area for at least a year.
