All lights on Riverside Drive and Parking lots are out from 400 block North south to Tompkins. I reported directly to police department about 5:30 as I considered this an EMERGENCY ISSUE. These lights are essential for security in the neighborhood. Plus it is a late night shopping evening for Christmas Traditions. I left the area about 7 pm and they were still out. PD was making contact to Street Department.

Note to City Staff ... there are no pole numbers on these light poles as they belong to City of St. Charles and not to the Utility company.

Thank you for reporting this incident to the City of St. Charles. We are aware of this and have contacted Ameren about it. It appears that a meter caught fire and had to be removed and Ameren is working on restoring it and correcting the problem that caused the fire. We appreciate your help in improving our City!

A meter base caught fire the other day at the transformer Jefferson and ally behind Main.
City crew has replaced meter base and Ameren will be on site today as I hear to get all back working for tonight.
