  • 850 Friedens Rd Saint Charles 63303, United States - St. Charles
Unapproved signage at the corner of Friedens Road and First Capitol. Today, October 6, there were “yard” signs for the Gun Show at the Convention Center and Ballroom Dancing lessons. There are consistently unapproved signs placed here for new developments, garage sales, home seminars, etc. St. Charles Community Development is not patrolling regularly for unapproved signage and removing signs. It looks tacky and once again, it’s “anything goes” in Hoosier St. Chuck. Get to work on it!
  • 1780 Zumbehl Rd Saint Charles 63303, United States - St. Charles
Walgreens on Zumbehl Road and Hawks Nest is not mowing their grass. Weeds and dandelions. Looks terrible. Send warning letter and fine. City of St. Charles needs to monitor commercial businesses that are not mowing grass and growing crops of dandelions!

Vacant lot was previously a gas station. Three issues: 1) Old gas station pole sign remains and is being used as a "For Sale" property sign...looks tacky and gas station is gone...sign should be gone as well; 2) The empty lot is a gravel mess. They sell fireworks here in the summer. It is an embarrassing, ugly empty lot in bad condition; 3) Trucks are parked here. Is that allowed to have semi cabs parked here? Overall, this looks like a hot mess at a major St. Charles intersection at First Capitol and I-70/Veterans Memorial Parkway. Property owner needs to clean it up. Double check the address. Community Development, please address this.
  • 1650 Hawks Nest Dr St Charles, MO 63303, USA - St. Charles
Hawk's Nest Drive concrete has major pot holes and sink holes on the curved area of the street behind Walgreens. This street is one of the worst concrete streets in the City of St. Charles. There are a few sections that need immediate repair and concrete replacement. This street is near a fire station and many homes and businesses, so this needs to be a priority.
  • 2757 Plaza Way St Charles, MO 63303, USA - St. Charles
Tall weeds and grass at the empty lot for sale in front of Office Max and adjacent to the vacated former veterinary building that's for sale at Regency Plaza shopping center. The lot owner puts up a large tacky sign to sell the commercial property and does NOT now or maintain it. The entire Regency Plaza needs to be monitored regularly for code violations. The shopping center is poorly maintained.

Rooftop screens (to hide the rooftop HVAC system) at Sam's Club in St. Charles, MO have missing and broken panels. This is out of compliance and should be a code violation. Sam's Club needs to replace the rooftop screening. There are probably more code violations at this store...not well maintained. Parking lot is a mess too.

Faded out City of St. Charles sign at I-70 and First Capital exit ramp. I reported this over one year ago, and yet the faded out sign remains. Isn't the City embarrassed for having a poor quality sign to "welcome" people ... not to mention not being proactive about replacing the sign nor addressing a reported issue for over a year?
  • 1377 Bass Pro Drive St Charles, MO 63301, USA - St. Charles
Tall grass, weeds and broken curbs at Mark Twain Village shopping Center empty lot on Bass Pro Drive. This entire shopping center is decaying. The parking lot and drive has potholes and strange valleys and dips. The whole parking area and street needs replacing and re-grading for alignment and water runoff. It is like driving an obstacle course or a roller coaster. The shopping center buildings need a refresh on paint. Landscaping looks sparse and amateur. This shopping center is the entryway to the City of St. Charles, and it looks pathetic. Where is City Development?
  • 1500 S 5th St St Charles, MO 63303, USA - St. Charles

Tall grass and weeds along Veterans Memorial Parkway in the City of St. Charles. Will the City own the lack of upkeep or blame it on MODOT, SSM Healthcare, or Time Centre Apartments?

The roadway project was touted as an improvement, and no one is maintaining it or beautifying it. The new SSM Healthcare outpatient building has tall grass and high weeds. Who is allowing this? Where is the oversight from the City? It looks terrible and staff should be held responsible.

1443 Bass Pro Drive St Charles, MO 63301, USA - St. Charles
Bass Pro Drive and the entire parking lot at Mark Twain Village ... it is a hot mess. There is an empty lot at the shopping center that was never developed where mud slides into the main drive. There are many, many potholes, and the asphalt is breaking up. It needs to be resurfaced, resealed and parking spots and stripes need to be repainted. How does the shopping mall owner get away with this? You would never see such a hillbilly dump of a shopping center driveway and parking lot in Chesterfield or Town and Country. The mall owner also needs more landscaped islands and trees at Mark Twain Village. The City of St. Charles needs to rectify this embarrassing shopping center and hold the owner/developer accountable. It is NOT well maintained, and there should be ordinances against letting a driveway and parking lot mall fall into decay.

There are several potholes on Raymond Drive, St. Charles, Mo. 63301. This street is in poor condition, and it reflects negatively on the City of St. Charles. The entire street should be resurfaced. Sidewalks and curbs look shabby, too. Will this be addressed and fixed in a timely manner?

One of the Downtown St. Charles decorative pole signs is broken and hanging down in North Main Street on the east side of the street. It looked broken, damaged when I drove by. Sad to see this and hope it can be fixed.
