The pedestrian crosswalk markings have completely worn away here, both on William and on Olive. They are in dire need of re-painting. No one EVER yields to pedestrians at this crosswalk. A "yield to pedestrians" free-standing sign would go a long way here, or at least a posted sidewalk sign.

I concur. That way if a pedestrian is struck and killed there, the City will not be able to blame the victim, like they did with the Olive Street fatality October 30th. Maybe then they will have to charge the driver with vehicular manslaughter, (which they should have) unless of course it's another attorney or someone with connections.

There definitely were crosswalk lines painted on the pavement here at one point. You can just barely see the remnants below the manhole in the photo above. Either way, this is a crosswalk that is subject to pedestrian yield, and it's important that it be clearly marked!

This is still unaddressed, as is my other issue posted (about a serious sidewalk obstruction). This is exactly why I am moving out of New Haven.

They re-did the crosswalk and now it's painted. Looks great!
