  • 51 Lyon Street New Haven, Connecticut - Wooster Square

Multiple cars (possibly belonging to new residents) have repeatedly been parking on the wrong side of the street and clogging up traffic. In particular a black BMW sedan with CT plates. I'm requesting an increase parking enforcement on Lyon, and for the city to ticket the offenders to discourage illegal parking?

Been going on about a week or more, and I'm sure any time of you day or night you can find somebody violating this parking reg. on Lyon.

100 Wall St New Haven, Connecticut - Downtown

There has been a rash of bicycle thefts downtown and in Wooster Square lately (as there is every summer). My rear tire and gear set were stolen off my bike while locked to a bike rack for a short while on College Street. If you walk around downtown you can see all of the bikes that have been gutted and abandoned because of missing parts.

Not that the city can or will do anything, but I thought the issue should be represented here since it's so widespread.

  • 175 Olive Street New Haven, Connecticut - Wooster Square
The pedestrian crosswalk markings have completely worn away here, both on William and on Olive. They are in dire need of re-painting. No one EVER yields to pedestrians at this crosswalk. A "yield to pedestrians" free-standing sign would go a long way here, or at least a posted sidewalk sign.
  • 160 East Street New Haven, Connecticut - Mill River

A tall chain-link fence has fallen over the sidewalk, completely obstructing passage. The only path is in the road, in traffic, or across the street which is difficult to cross even at the lights.

The fence has been down for over a year.

(Re-posting from an earlier post that has been ignored)

  • Olive Street At State Street New Haven, CT - Downtown
City plows (I assume) threw snow over onto to sidewalk, creating a mound of snow that is completely impassable. Please send a clean up crew to the intersection at State and Olive and plow the sidewalk on the south side of the Olive/Grove bridge. See picture.
