It's been happening in a few neighborhoods, and little has been done. the delivery companies can be instructed not to leave packages, or to deliver packages to alternative addresses. We need good block watches, as it's hard for police to know who is who, like if somebody is on a porch it's hard to tell if they belong there or not. We need more video cameras. We need to catch the perps!!

This has been going on for well over a year now. We have traced the culprits following delivery vehicles and then quite brazenly moving on to porches and stealing. We (at 126 Bishop) have a notice saying deliver to back door but only US mail honors this.Fed Ex & USPS both ignore it. What to do? Police take no notice -- one cop told me "Yeah It's bad" --said with a complacent shrug.

So this is what we pay high city taxes for?

Do you know what the word 'fascist' means? No, we don't live in a fascist state. But we seem to live in one where we don't care about each other... that's been the big flaw in these United States.. it's very self-serving.. the land of the 'free' without responsibility for each other.

What I did about FedEx and UPS was to insist that they not leave packages anywhere, but that someone had to sign for any package, or deliver to an alternative address.
