Description
Cars will often proceed at reckless speeds down Sterling Ave, I believe as a throughway from Sterling to High or vice versa. Our street is narrow, our sidewalks are narrow, and our front yards are shallow, making the increased speeds that much more dangerous for families with small kids as the distance from the front yard or side yard to the street is very small. We would be forever grateful is the city of Alameda would consider installing speed bumps or humps to our street which T's off into 2 much busier streets in order to slow the flow of traffic. Streets are for everyone, so we're not trying to restrict the use of Sterling as a passthrough... we just want folks to drive through at the speed limit. Thank you so much for your time and consideration!
