FYI for all who drive down Edgewood Ave near Yale Ave. by the entrance to the hiking trail..Near sunrise this morning a Wild Turkey ran out in the road in front of my car I was able to stop in time without hitting it before it flew up and over the fence near the parks dept. It was a surprise and as I recovered from that experience two deer were around the corner. Fortunately I was not driving too fast or the Turkey would have been killed and could have flew up through the windshield. Stay alert while driving around the park areas for wildlife,especially at dawn and dusk. It is so dark in these areas you can't see animals or people on the sides of the roads.
