...and on Nicoll St. we WERE told that they would be plowing last night and, as usual, THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!!!

I read that they had to stop plowing last night and go to de-icing because there was black ice from the rain and melting. Same equipment for both jobs. Good that they got to the streets today.

I am on Linden, and there has been no plowing in front of my building at almost 9pm. Just drove down the full length of the street from Foster to Whitney and nothing looks like it has been plowed. I did not see any signs posted and cars are parked on the odd side still.

Baloney. There are no signs and there have been no plows. It is now nearly ten o'clock.

9:30am on Sunday, no signs and no plows.

Does anyone know how to contact a human in the DPW or DOT to find out if plowing (and parking ban) will be continued into this week?

It has been brought to my attention that cars on Linden Street were ticketed and towed on Friday without any warning. No signs were posted, no bull horn announcements, nothing. This SCF message was sent on Saturday. It was also mentioned that the fire dept was unable to respond to a call due to narrow passage. This street should have been put on the list of the 39 narrow streets. It wasn't. Can someone from DPW please explain how and why this happened?

Anna call for an investigative committee from the Board of Alders to investigate this fiasco. Many cars were left buried in snow on odd sides of streets WITHOUT EVEN A TICKET. WHY WAS THERE RANDOM PARKING ENFORCEMENT ????

And on some streets there was towing with no notice; the City really needs to get its act together!

Sidenote: Just received a recorded message from the City. The parking ban is over as of 3pm and all cars have to be moved from school parking lots by 6am Monday.

I think the plows are lost and can not be found. After numerous emails threatening that our cars would be ticketed and towed, we are calling your bluff City Hall. This has been the most ridiculous snow removal process ever. When you all figure it out and mean it let us know and only then will I move my car. Do I get a tax rebate on my already too high taxes for services promised but never received?
