Description
We hit a HUGE pothole going east on Cherokee Rd. last night that blew out the 2 tires on the right hand side of the car. It was dark and not visible until right upon it. Besides the damage to the car there was potential for injury. There needs to be something to mark it immediately.

@ Anonymous. Call 311 immediately. Ask where to send your bill for your new tires. They will send you a claim form. Include a picture of the pothole with a ruler beside it. It will take months to get your money, but you shouldn't be out new tires because the City doesn't do its job.
This pothole on Cherokee has been reported several times and nothing has been done. You would think it would be less expensive for the City to repair the darn thing than to have to continue to pay for everyone's new tires. But hey, that would make sense wouldn't it?!

So everyone in Richmond who has balding tires, worn tires, or just in general would like a new set of tires... Come on down to 9319 Cherokee and pop your tires on the City's Dime.
This would make a great radio commercial or advertisement on channel 12 or channel 8

To the original poster (Anonymous).
Okay, it's time to call 12 On Your Side! Because nothing is going to get fixed until you get good and squeaky! Because the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

We could also take all the lingering sofas (on this site), put them over the offending pothole, and charge admission for movie night!
Welcome to SeeClickNix, there your request will be nixed instead of fixed!

My husband talked to Howard Glenn, head engineer at DPU and to time grimes! Kathy graziano's assistant, to bring them both up to date on the three newer accidents / incidents... And he used the word liability. They don't like that word. They may have to close that part of Cherokee for awhile to dig up the road and install a new culvert... So be prepared. Just wanted you to know the "powers that be" are on it.
