Oh my goodness, it is particularly bad tonight. Please fix this FAST!

p.s...residents throughout the Woodward, Kneeland area have been disturbed by this.

It's the army core of engineers. Nothing to fix they are removing soil from the bottom of the harbor to allow ships in to the port. We just have to wait until they are done.
I am just guessing that this is the noise we are hearing.

tp survey -- do you live in this neighborhood? It was really loud last night around 10/11pm. I have a 2-year-old; it was loud enough to wake him.

I love scf as a tool, but every time I get involved w/ an issue, someone has to say something unnecessarily negative and outright rude. How is this productive or useful?

Honestly I haven't heard any unusually loud noises, just the occasional ambulance racing thru or Fire engine, as far as the Dredging operation Its there to make the channel safer for the sound,Its for only for a short time , occasionally I hear a low rumbling sound but figured just another freighter passing by, Happens when you live on the shore of a major harbor. its making the channel safer for the sound.

John Flaherty. Weren't you the one last year when you demanded that people on Kneeland "put their cars in their driveways" when people on that block have no driveways?

You are either be a very sound sleeper, deaf, dumb and blind or in extreme denial, not to hear "any unusually loud noises". Especially at 3AM WHEN PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP. Who cares whether they are "loud" or "deep humming" or whaterver they are at 3AM AND KEEPING PEOPLE UP AT NIGHT. And there are many elderly people who have health issues, related to sleep. You should be ashamed of yourself with your nauseating excuse after excuse for everything the government does. Whatever they are doing at 3am can be done at 3pm instead.

Kathy First of all I am not the one who complained about cars, i could care less were people park as long as its not on my lawn, 2nd of all personal attacks by calling someone deaf, Dumb and blind are cruel.I may be, I have major medical issues as well but i keep them to myself. and No I live by the water and do not hear the noise , and whose complaint about the Government? Its too bad people have no tolerance for simple comments people make and have to go on the defensive sorry If you feel I offended you . I don't hear the noise over this way.

I and many others in the neighborhood have medical issues directly related to lack of sleep. Just b/c you do not hear the noise does not mean others do not hear it.

And bottom line is they are behind schedule so they are doing the work at 2,3 and 4am to "catch up" and they are making their problem our problem. Most people would rather it take them twice as long so they don't do this extremely noisy and disturbing work at ungodly hours in the middle of the night. They can easily do it at 3 and 4 PM instead of AM.

IT IS BRUTAL TONIGHT! ENOUGH! My wife has MS, with bad tinnitus, and she is literally CRYING it is SO LOUD tonight! And they are now 2 months past their "completion date" and 3 weeks past Rosa DeLauro's "party" for finishing the job! Where is DeLauro? This is her boondoggle. Is she in Lake Como again as she was after Hurricane Sandy? Because if SHE had to listen to this, I can assure you it would stop being done at 2,3, 4AM! If it does not stop this time we are going to file suit Monday morning. As it is we are filing a complaint with the CT DEP.
