Leaves have not been picked up on many streets in this neighborhood since fall of 2012.
Signs have been put up saying collection would be made yet that has never been done in 2013 or 2014. Today, February 11, 2014 is the third time this had happened. There is not even a hint of bad weather. I am not able to get answers about a solution from the Department of Public Works. They left me on hold today for over 16 minutes before I was cut off. The person I spoke with was this time was Shenay.. I have spoken with other people twice before and this is one of the case numbers I have received: 20020929799. The leaves are so bad in some areas that that they have become murky and muddy and walking and parking is difficult. In some spots getting to the sidewalk from ones car requires walking to a different lot on the street. This is not what citizens of the City should have to deal with.
Please inform me of when this will be corrected.

Agreed. Leaves in my area (4100 block Wythe) have not been picked up AT ALL during the fall of 2012. I believe signs have been posted twice and then taken down. The signs are not removed until AFTER the scheduled pickup so everyone is moving their cars the night before or morning of only to come home and find no leaf pickup. It is creating a huge dirty mess and also clogging up the gutters. One cannot get out of their car without having to step in dirty, muddy leaves. It's embarrassing to have the streets in Richmond look like this.

Leaf pickup has been a non-event. Signs have been posted multiple times. Of course weather is a factor, but that's what happens when our pickup schedule puts us in the middle of winter, long after any leaves have fallen. There was one day in January that it was raining, there was obviously not going to be any work done, yet the city was still towing cars in the 4200 block of Cutshaw. The whole process appears to be broken.

Same issue on the 4700 block of Cutshaw......each time in the past, weather was a factor, HOWEVER, on Tues 2/11, the signs had been put up and no trucks came around. There has been NO PICKUP on that side of the street this season at all. The city used to pick up leaves around Thanksgiving, but they delay it so long now that they get caught up in winter weather. I thought it was called FALL leaf pickup....not WINTER leaf pickup......
