It happens in both the morning and evening. This photo was taken at approximately 4:30 PM when I was walking by. I also drive though this area most mornings, and there are often cars illegally standing/parked, but I can't take a picture when driving.

It also seems like a particular problem in front of the Arts and Humanities High School on George Street in the mornings as people drop kids off for school. They block traffic in the left hand lane of George street, causing other cars to swerve into the center lane in order to keep moving. I would guess that I notice this around 7:30AM. The signs say that this is a No Standing Tow Zone from at that time, as well as in the afternoon. There are also often cars parked in the right hand lane (in front of the Chase Bank), which can cause 3 lanes of traffic to converge into just one.

This has been going on day and night all times since they built the school and put the atm in at the bank on the corner of george and college- like this is news to T & P. Most of the time its Yale PD that are blocking traffic

If it's Yale PD take a photo and attach it, and include your name.

Saw parking enforcement here today, persuading someone not to park in front of the bank. Thanks for addressing the issue. There was still a line if 6 cars parked in front of the school though.

You can stand there and watch police cars just drive by. It goes on all over the city. People will park right in the drive lane, put on their 4-way flashers (like that makes it legal) and go into a store or bank, while there could be a parking space a few spaces up. And the police ignore it.

The "duplicate" issue referenced (#1045175) is for the construction in front of 300 George Street. This issue is about the parking on College Street, which happens with or without the lane shifts on College.
