I do not know how to break the news to you, BUT the Whitneyville Civic association is NOT the be all and end all of Whitneyville. As a matter of "FACT" they DO NOT represent the majority. Some of us working people want thinks to go faster and easyer for all. There are two sides to every issue and Whitneyville needs to hear the other side a little more.

Regardless of who the civic association represents or the views of the majority, coming to a complete stop at stop signs is the law. The fact that this law is routinely broken all over Hamden and neighbouring towns is a sad reflection on both the local citizens and local law enforcement.

Hi, business man, I'm not sure exactly what the Whitneyville Civic Association has to do with it. I merely mentioned that "working" members of the community have come specifically to their meetings to complain about this particular problem, with hopes that their complaints will finally be heard. I'm not sure why this would make you angry.

As far as things going faster and easier for all, a Civic Association is exactly the sort of thing you need in order to push things to go "faster and easier", since individuals can't always accomplish things as effectively as groups, particularly with slow, burdened political processes.

It's now 2013 and the problem persists. I see cars running this stop sign every day. It's a neighborhood where many children walk to and from their school bus stop. I hope the police will take an interest in this corner. A handful of 'moving violation' tickets issued would go a long way toward solving the problem.

I initially started this issue, but have now left the neighborhood. I would be extremely surprised if this issue has gone away, but its time for someone else to keep getting the emails about this.
