Get the license plate number and call 203 946-6316 as soon as you see it. You should also call the aldeperson and police district manger. Posting here will not do much and it may only alert the people doing this to go to the next block. Also if there an undercover in force you hampered it. A big problem with this is you have one more person on the road who is under the influence who may seriously injure someone
As far as legalizing it we have hard time controlling drinking and driving and the other problems associate with it alcohol , by legalizing marijuana it only adds to the problem.

XYZ: with all due respect, a call that results in an officer arriving a half hour later asking if I want to fill out a report is not the answer. If this gets them to move off of our block - great. At the very least, they should be chased into doing this in dark corners and faraway places. And, by the way, the license plate is in the picture.

For the most part the police hardly if at all monitor this site so your post will not be seen by anyone in the position that can do anything to stop this. Also even if they move off your block there is still the chance that they can seriously injure someone when they are driving under the influence and it may even be you. If you call the police you can do it anonymously and you will not be force to fill out a report.
You ask what can be done to slow this down and I replied.

You advise calling the police, when we know they come late for any minor offense, take a report, and that's the end of it. Traffic and Parking and public works do but it may take be a long time after posting before it is read especially after hours and on weekends That is why it is best to phone, especially a safety issue like a down stop sign, then post to alert others and have a record it was called in.

Posted on Saturday it is now Monday and city has yet to respond or acknowledge. People this is why it is better to call because at the very least when you call the police, alder, or police district manager at least you know that you made them aware of a problem.

Be very careful when taking photos and even writing down plate numbers because these people may have a weapon. I would not chance taking a photo, getting the plate number is good enough
