This is a fire hazard for those of us who live up the hill, and the city needs to have police on hand when any heavy equipment is being used on this site. There is only one way for a fire truck to get up this hill, and that is directly up Talbert Street. If DC City Government let's some developer block that key artery for those of us who live up on this hill, it is endangering our lives. I will be contacting the DC Attorney General about this matter, today. The DC City Government has consistently failed to police developers on this hill. It is only a matter of time until someone's house burns down up here, with a human being in it.

I didn't any update permit posted. Continuing digging. Was told by DOT they need a permit and retaining wall to keep the alley from collapsing.

Why doesn't DCRA allow this kind of crap? These people are obviously completing this construction project without complying with city statutes and regulations. What kind of town do we live in?

Why haven't DCRA reply back to me after 25 days. I am a concern neighbor who would appreciate an update on these issues by DCRA, other than the acknowledgment on the original complaint.

I want to amplify Arnehl's complaint. DCRA owes Arnehl, and the rest of us who live up on this hill, a response. Why is DCRA not doing what it should be doing? Why isn't DCRA policing these construction sites? When concerned citizens report what appear to be code and permit violations, why doesn't DCRA respond appropriately? I am asking these questions, knowing full well that no one from DCRA will ever read this. We deserve a decent city government, and we will never get it with our current crop of politicians. Thank you Mayor Bowser, for giving us a city government that regularly ignores residents of this city.
