Leaves were never completely cleared this autumn creating a buildup on the street & sidewalk ramp. The leaves have now accumulated trash, are saturated with several inches of water and debris, freeze during temperature drops creating several feet of ice slick, and entirely block the ramp for those with impaired mobility. Drainage into the sewer system is entirely blocked as well.

Important - time sensitive. Sidewalk, curb, and apron repair all beginning today, Tuesday, December 18th.

For a couple of weeks now, the left turn light at Lincoln Circle onto 23rd St. has been short timing causing back ups across the Memorial Bridge and Rt 27 to the Pentagon.

1309 5th st NW. Speed hump extend into bike lane. This is a real hazard after dark as the street is not light. There are two such humps in this block.

Pedestrians cross Florida Avenue NW at R with only use of a crosswalk. There is no light or stop sign for the Florida Ave traffic. I often feel unsafe crossing the street because traffic on Florida is so heavy and coming at a quick pace. I think additional traffic safety devices would help tremendously. There is a DPR park on that corner, so kids cross the street often. Additionally, people walk their dogs in the grassy park across the street.

Sidewalk at 1758 U St NW has large hole. I just saw a man in a wheelchair say he couldn't pass and his only option was to proceed in the street. I've seen people trip at night because of the hole.

neighbors have cut into the sidewalk and put some metal piece there to store a bike motorbike they store there motorbike on the sidewalk.

I submitted this repair request more than 2 months ago. The case was given a case number and "closed" yet nothing has been done. It is indicated here that sidewalk repair requests generally take 25 days to address. It is now much longer than 25 days.

Roots from a tree that was cut down about a year ago have not been removed. The roots have pushed up and dislocated many of the bricks and it has become a dangerous walking hazard. Many people trip and fall on this area. The roots need to be dug out and the brick sidewalk reinstalled.

Either a yield, merge, or some type of flashing light should be placed here as there is no warning that the right lane on the inbound ramp merges directly into the left lane of the SW Frwy. Both lanes are moving at high speeds and if you are not familiar with the area, you would (understandably) not expect a merge. I have seen cars slam on their brakes and/or nearly avoid accidents here several times. The design of the merges on the SW Frwy is terrible and not easy to fix, but placing proper signage should be easy, relatively inexpensive, and improve safety tremendously.
