Wow, you're all so eager to protect a pothead! FWIW, Yolande regularly posts photos of people doing disgusting things, like urinating in public. Is a PUBLIC PEE WALL "different values?" SERIOUSLY! THESE ARE ALL QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUES in New Haven. Behaviors like these need to be addressed because they prevent LAW ABIDING residents from enjoying New Haven. We don't go around peeing wherever we please, stinking up our city. THIS IS INDECENT EXPOSURE and they should be arrested. Additionally, if this man is smoking pot, what kind of message are we sending our kids by turning our heads and calling this different values?? As for FHR, there is nothing voyeuristic about the photos. YOLANDE IS MAKING A POINT about the CRIMES in New Haven that make it far less pleasant to live here and walk our own streets.

I see a photo of a man, in public, smoking. That's not a crime and this is not a quality of life issue. Since no one knows what he is smoking, it's all just ridiculous speculation and it's cluttering up SCF. I know people who roll their own cigarettes--tobacco!--and smoke the same way, so this is really an absurd conversation to be having. Urinating in public and smoking in public are definitely not in the same category, sorry.

It's still not voyeuristic, and I'm sure Yolande knows what is going on in her neighborhood. There's a guy in my neighborhood who smokes, and from the smell of it, I KNOW that it's NOT TOBACCO. You have no comments on any of the PUBLIC PEE WALL threads on SCF??? Indecent Exposure doesn't offend you?

Smoking pot is decriminalized in CT. That means we are looking at an offense equal to littering in the eyes of the law. I would be uncomfortable if people were posting pictures of people littering just the same. I don't think it's appropriate on SCF.

BJG: I'm not addressing the "pee wall" because that's not the topic at hand. I'm concerned that this isn't the right venue for the issue posted.
