Very dangerous intersection from all vehicles entering all sides

A sginal technician responded to this concern and found that the pedestrian push button was in proper working order. This signal is non-actuated and will trigger without a pedestrian having to initiate it.

THE WHOLE 3 BLOCK INTERSECTIONS OF DURALEIGH WITH MILLBROOK/PLEASANT VALLEY/DELTA LAKE DRIVE NEED ATTENTION: DEFINED TRAFFIC LANES BOTH WHITE AND YELLOW LINES AS WELL AS THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS AT ALL INTERSECTIONS GOING ALL DIRECTIONS. THIS AREA OF N.W. RALEIGH IS VERY BUSY BOTH RESIDENTIAL AND BUSINESSES. WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR OUR TAX DOLLARS TO GO TO WORK FOR OUR AREA????

This is the CAPITAL CITY. It is just to many cars and not enough asphalt.
It is no different than any other major city.

This is a non actuated pedestrian crossing, therefore, the signal will trigger regardless of whether there is a person there or not.

Regarding markings at Pleasant Valley: There is a work order currently open to have the centerline temporarily refreshed until the project below is awarded at the end of the year

The traffic control staff has recently addressed the traffic congestion in this area in both the AM and PM travel peaks. Unfortunately there is not enough lane capacity to accommodate all the traffic. Slight modifications to the signal timing will not create a noticeable difference to the driver, however, cannot be made on a larger scale as that would cause increased traffic backup in the other direction.

so we can have 10 - 15 cars sitting there idling for no reason ???
this does not help our air quality, or fuel economy of the cars.
also, it does not always do it - seems to be random
It DOES HAVE pedestrian push buttons
this is the intersection where pleasant valley dead ends into millbrook

No pedestrian signal issue has been detected at this location. The pedestrian calls come up with the same vehicle phase.
