An ongoing issue of this being a staff boarding house likely has caused this address to be posted for sale due to it being in R1 single family residential area zoning. Are the realtors mandated to mention the R1 zoning to make sure the next purchaser does not intend to use it as a boarding house/staff accommodation/ skier flop house or vacation rental. Does the city see the necessity to speak to the realtors regarding the zoning so that it does not become a problem in the neighbourhood once more ? It is advertised with this wording : "There's 6 bedrms, 3 bathrms, 2 kitchens, dining rm, living rm, family rm, rec. rm and a games rm. Many options for this upgraded property located just around the corner from an elementary school. Lots of room for the extended family as you could use the lower level for your in-laws" It's the "many options" that is a little hint that it could be positioned as something outside of what it is zoned for. What else would "many options" imply ? That would seem to make it City responsibility to see that it doesn't become the same problem it has been because of being contrary to zoning.
