Why not get a pic of his plate number, report it to the authorities, so that a warning can be issued with subsequent violations being ticketed.

Visited site this morning the resident was loading their truck with metals. I don't see any issue as long as the material is not being stored in the street.

So he can take revenue from the city in its recycling program, and use it for his own personal gain? So why even bother collecting recyclables? Thought the money used when items were turned in was to applied towards the town budget...guess not.

Spoke with DPW...."they don't have the authority to tell him" when you see him take pic and repirt it to Police Department. This is considered to be theft, as DPW spokeswoman told me.

That is correct it is stealing from the Town. Just to be clear how the laws work, we the DPW would have to witness them taking it from the curb to have the ability of taking any official action. How do we or you know that people didn't contact him to pick up the metal, I don't believe this is the case with this guys but we have no way of knowing. Also as you were advised on the phone if you see him taking from the curb you need to contact the KPD. Thank you for bring this matter to our attention.
