Description
Twice crossing Wall Street near Harkness Tower I came within inches of injury. A new bike lane goes in the opposite direction to the one-way vehicle lane. While watching for adequate window between cars to cross, one can be injured by unsuspected bikes coming from behind and traveling fast due to dedicated lane and their better visibility of oncoming traffic. Not good!

Just out of curiosity , are you crossing at a marked crosswalk , at the corner ?

Echoing others' sentiment...very glad you're okay!
It'd be great if there could be a bell or a light or something for bikes to trigger, but even then there'd probably have to be one or two new designated mid-street crosswalks or crossing zones.
Personally speaking, I ride in that new lane a few times a week and I'll be sure to ride carefully. Thanks for pointing this out...
