Hi Wayne. It would be funny if I didn't have to report it every few months. The owner just doesn't care and the city seems to not want to enforce. My next contacts are Broward County Health Dept and the CDC.
I complain to city. City tells owner: "Drain pool." Owner drains pool. Wait 24hrs. Pool has standing water again. I complain to city again. See the problem?
BTW, since this yard is enclosed by a 6 foot privacy fence, how did the complainant get the picture? What did he do, climb up on a ladder to peek into his neighbors yard like some peeping tom? i see he went skulking around to update his photo. It looks like he spends an inordinate amount of time spying on his neighbors!
@Wayne. In the 5+ years that I have lived adjacent to this property, it has always been vacant. Unless I complain the owner does nothing to keep the property maintained. There are RODENTS . There are frogs that are LOUD at night. There are MOSQUITOs. It's kind of ridiculous that I have to keep complaining.
You live in FLORIDA, NEAR A LAKE, there are always frogs, deal with it. We have them all along the lake, what do you want done, poison them so you can sleep? Perhaps the ducks should also be killed so that you don't have to deal with the duck droppings.
As for mosquitos, there will always be mosquitos, that's why we have repellant. Again, you live in the tropics, if you can't deal with that, perhaps you moved to the wrong area of the country. I hear NYC, and Chicago are sterile environments with no tropical wildlife, perhaps you should have stayed there.
I don't disagree that the pool should be maintained, but your reasons just don't hold water (pun intended).
