Why hasn't this been looked at??? How many times must I report this for this to be given any attention??????????

Please look at this area of sidewalk. It is not the owners daily the sidewalk is so sideways. The mud collection is going to cause an accident, a slip on the mud or crack type problem and b/c there have been so many complaints to the city, it will be on them. Why can't it be looked at??? I don't understand?!?!

Why is this so hard to fix????? Please look at it and then PLEASE tell me why this cannot be repaired? I cannot walk here, especially after any kind of rain because the sidewalk is a literal mudbath!!!

Not closing this til it's fixed or you tell me why you won't fix it, esp when I see other areas of sidewalk being fixed that are way less in need than this!

Ya know what? I have left soooo many comments about this, why don't you show me you care and contact me??? I am so irritated by this! I don't think anyone really wants to fix this problem until after someone, maybe me, gets hurt! I could walk my neighborhood and give you guys plenty of work to do, but I never see code guys ever bother to get out of their vehicles, except to tape notices on peoples doors! Seriously?? I've spoken to Giorgio before about numerous issues, and an abusive person on here. HE can call/text me. He knows me. (Sue P) I'll speak to him only, if he calls/texts about this. Guess we'll see. That's all I'm saying on this! Excepts SHAME!!!

Apparently, both active and passive censorship of non-abusive comments is now being done by officials moderating comments in Pembroke Pines. How ethical.

Not sure why my prior comment was sent to the moderator. If this is a public sidewalk with cracks and tilt as shown in the picture, then the city has the obligation to fix this public path to protect public safety. Waiting for their to be a lawsuit is unethical and serious mismanagement. How could this be dragging out from 2015?

What is the problem with getting this resolved since it was first posted in 2015 under the prior Code Compliance Administrator? The whole point of tools like SeeClickFix is for there to be a transparent way for residents to document issues and get them resolved by towns and cities in timely and intelligent manners. If this is a public sidewalk and an ongoing safety issue, then the city of Pembroke Pines needs to step up and get it fixed already. Mayor Ortis gets updates from SeeClickFix as well as others who lead and work for the city. Is the city position to wait till something negative happens and then give the city attorney more billable time when they get sued? That would be unethical mismanagement and use of taxpayer money. Again, what is really going on here?

The problem is, I guess I'll have to "fall and can't get up!" and see what the city has to say then. I have tried, and even spoken to 'higher ranking code officers' who have assured me this will be looked at ASAP as they have (pretty much admittedly) dropped the ball on this one. I've also made suggestions that code officers NOT just drive around in their cars, but GET OFF THEIR BUTTS and walk the blocks to see the problems. I have offered to walk with them, but I am not getting paid to do their jobs, and as much as I don't mind helping out, when I see that my comments are left open for nearly 2 years, I feel kind of like why bother? My community is important to me and others living here, and I want it stay that way but PP needs to stop wasting money on stupid self serving things and work on BEING a community they keep bragging about, especially if they want to keep it that way!

This is STILL not fixed, I am recovering from surgery due to a fall on a sidewalk, so why can't this be looked at for repair, especially when the sidewalks were shaved down in this area.

We have same problem in front of our property and when it rains we need a boat to get to pur cars. The ducks swim in it and leave feces and who else knows what. The side walk has now become a tripping hazard and the city claims we are responsible for fixing the sidewalk since it is pitching towards our house. We have been fighting this issue for over a year and a half. We want to fix our driveway but sidewalk needs to be fixed first and I dont understand why WE are responsible for the city sidewalk, our taxes went up alot this year and we cant even get the sidewalk fixed. Its due to the cheap way they sand down the sidewalks for a quick fix that has now made these sidewalks pitch inwards and the tax payers have to pay for the sidewalks to be fixed? I dont understand we still are trying to get ours fixed and we have had no luck.

Maybe we should get a few neighbors together and take a walk and see who falls on this mess of a sidewalk and THEN see what happens when this thread is used as evidence! Having to make a call is silly when this app is what you can use instead of making 15 minutes of calls to the city! SMH...

The primary problem seems to be no proper drainage AND the street elevation is higher than the swale and the sidewalks so rail water collects and stands sometimes for days between the street and the residents front yard making getting to your car, getting the mail, walking your dog, or just taking a walk impossible without wading thru up to a foot of water. This has also been reported to the Americans with Disabilities Act along with the fact that people continuously block sidewalks with their automobiles. We have disabled people who must be in wheel chairs in our neighborhood. They can’t safely move about with the cars and the water affecting transit on the sidewalks. They are forced into the street with the traffic. Very unsafe. Very unfortunate if they get hurt especially since this has been reported and documented many times.

I give up! Go ahead and close this since I don't think this does anything anyway. If you use it, it doesn't really matter anyway bc nothing gets done about the complaints. Guess you have to know someone. 😡👺

City told me it was my responsibility to repair their sidewalks. I had to pay several thousand dollars personally to fix the sidewalks in front of my house.
