LCI has talked to this woman and we are hopeful the "bus" will be leaving by the end of the weekend.

I would worry more about the dump at the end of Summit that is pushing its way into Quarry park. The lady is trying to leave and is outside every day moving stuff around. The dump is way more dangerous to any kid who might be back there than a school bus parked backwards on a quiet street.

As of 12/13/12 this bus has returned and has been parked for three days without moving

LCI is in communication with the owner of the bus and will continue to address the trash issue and the bus.

Here's the hazard just below the crest of the hill. Plus it's an eye sore.

Just wanted to compliment the New Haven Police officers who spoke to the owner of the bus and had her move it. Coincidentally, I posted picture during the day and that night the police has her move the bus. Nice response!

I saw the police harassing this lady on Grand Ave yesterday. 'Tis the season to go after non criminals i guess. Happy Holidays to most?

If "Lexington Ave." cared about this lady so much, during the holiday season, he or she could have offered the lady a place to stay and legally park her bus. Stop saying the police are "harassing" when there doing their job. This site is for quality of life issues, not a forum to critize those who are trying to maintain the quality of life in the city.

I certainly would not have called the cops on my old neighbor(who was evicted/foreclosed on) repeated times over where she parks her bus which looked to be legal. Her parking on Summit posed no danger to anyone, not one of the 10-15 cars that go down Summit daily had problems driving past. Using the cops for personal reasons is sad, especially this time of year. How exactly did this affect your quality of life?

"Lexington Ave." obviously you have no quality in your life, based on your view. Once again, if you felt so compassionate for this lady, why allow her to live outside on that cold bus. Be caring and give her a place to stay and park her bus legally. You obvious want to say you care, from a nice harm house while she's out in the cold. Actions speak louder than words.

In this Holy season, and after the horrible tragedy in Newtown, I hope this woman can find a safe and affordable place to live. Maybe one of the 26 Random Acts of Kindness can be to leave this woman alone for the holidays and be glad that we are not in her situation.
