Description

Please remove or move the 2-hour parking sign that illegally allows drivers to obstruct the crosswalks on the east side of 14th at the intersection of Swann. Under DC Code 50-2201.28, pedestrians have the right of way at all marked and unmarked crosswalk. (See also DCMR 18-99 for definition of a crosswalk.) DDOT does not have legal authority to allow drivers to park in crosswalks. I have also filed a separate request for DDOT to fully restripe the crosswalks (that one is 16-00556003).
