It has been over two months since this was reported and the problem still exists.

there are places on 14 that dont even have side walks, now this one has a buckling issue , it is much needed

Buckled sidewalks are an accident waiting to happen.

Maple road is a Oakland County road and they are responsible for all sidewalks and trees on easement. Dpw will address this concern in the next couple of days.

Im sorry but don't you think you (DPW) should have said that back in JUNE? 3 months later you will address the concern. Come on guys!

Thank you My DPW, 15 mi. is not walker friendly.
There are also, 20 homes in Clawson, which has never been encouraged to put side walks in.

Sidewalk approach trip hazard @ 903 W. Maple has been resolved.

I think that all these extra comments were not part of intent of this website. If you have other problems that need to be resolved, start a new Issue report. If you have complaints about the City and how it is run, attend a City Council meeting and let your feelings be known. If you still aren't satisfied, get involved and run for an elected position. I am satisfied with the DPW resolution of a problem that didn't even belong to the city.

I received a Beautification Award in 2006. AND NO, I DO NOT HAVE SIDEWALKS. That is exactly why I bought my house in 1985. As I said, I had 13 years of corner sidewalk shoveling at Washington & Massoit, snowplow excess to remove at the two crosswalks, and a fire hydrant I kept clear that 99% of our residents or DPW cannot be bothered to do.
There was none of this sidewalk crying going on in 1985. I pay my annual $25 to keep your sidewalks maintained. The only person that walks our street are the mail carriers, and in my 31 years of residence here there has not been one mail carrier that complained. They are free and welcome to take a shortcut across my lawn. In fact, they would have farther to walk if I HAD SIDEWALKS and I forbid them to walk on my lawn. If you bought a house with a sidewalk, LIVE WITH IT. I'll live with what I bought.

There are NO HOMES ON OUR cul-de-sac. The property is owned and maintained by the DPW. There is not a resident to stick that one to. Why am I the only resident not afraid to post my name?
