Description
Tonight I saw the traffic light for York turn green while the count-down timer for pedestrians crossing York on the south side was still counting down. I did not stay to see if this was repeated in the following cycle. I did push the ped button on the south corner.

Yes!!
and the one at the corner of Church and Chapel does the same thing! I've almost gotten hit a few times because the drivers don't understand to let a pedestrian finish crossing! There is supposed to be some time between the changes of color of the lights. They are supposed to be red on all sides for a moment.. to cut down on people running the light, and people starting while there is still traffic in the intersection.
Very dangerous!!

No it is not functioning correctly. The countdown timer to cross the east side of Chapel St. does not match when the Chapel light turns green. For example, last night it still showed 4 seconds while the light to Chapel St. turned green and several people were in the middle of the road with cars honking at them. This is quite dangerous.
Although I have seen this happen on 3 separate times, when I stay and try to re-create the situation I can't, it seems to happen randomly.
In the attached photo you can see the Chapel light is green and the ped crossing is still blinking (and counting down). The stop "hand" was in-between blinks when the photo was taken, but it is clear that is was not a solid "stop".

See Click Fix is set up to manage one issue at a time (only one point is available for identifying and locating an issue per scf post) If you create a separate scf post regarding your concerns at the intersection of Church St and Chapel St, we can then address it. We can also create an issue on your behalf, but then you won't receive any updates on progress so it's better if you create a new and separate post.

@ Matthew,
If you reopen an issue that has been closed, we can no longer continue to track it through our back-end system, as the connection between SCF and our workflow software for this particular issue is now severed. So I am going to create a new issue for you (using your comments as a description) and attach this reopened issue to it (this will automatically archive this issue but since you are the one who created it, you will continue to receive updates on the new one I create. I hope that makes sense.
