I called 203 946-6298 and was told this is not a dirt bike hotline. I think it would be best to call 203 946-6316 the general number when you see a dirt bike.

This is indeed a mystery. In the link I posted above, I called 203-946-6298 to ascertain that the number was correct. The recorded message stated that it was, indeed the ATV tipline. After reading XYZ's post, I called again, and now there is no answer and no message. Perhaps, Karl Jacobson, the person quoted in the article, could be reached for comment.

"He urged people to keep calling the tip line at 203-946-6298 to share information anonymously, and tell the police where the bikes are being stored. He also passed out a stack of business cards with his contact information so they could contact him personally." This was only five months ago.

You can call the mayor's office 203 946-8200 and ask. Also if you let 203 946-6298 ring for a long time someone will answer, at least it did for me. Finally it is up to you but I would not put a photo of myself or real name on this site. You can call See Click,do a web search for their number, they can show you how to delete your photo and change your name if you wish.
