I called the police non-emergency number two weeks ago about this and was given another number to call. When I called that number, an answering machine picked up.

A friend today offered an interesting perspective on the dirtbikes which I had not thought of previously and I thought I would share. To him the dirt bikes serve as a common ground between kids in different neighborhoods who would have previously been enemies. From his perspective as one of the folks who had his bike taken by police the bikes have helped to substantially curb neighborhood violence.

The skateboard park in Edgewood has a similar barrier breaking effect. Maybe it is time for a dirtbike track in NHV?

On April 28 (Thursday), give the mayor’s office (203 946-8200) to let her know that it’s time to track down the bikes and confiscate!! More calls equals more action and fewer dirtbikes on the streets!!
