Hi, this is Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Hudson. Thank you for submitting this 311 request, 9th street is an easy target for illegal parking because it isn't patrolled often at all. Most of the time 311 requests are handled quickly, but at times -- especially on the weekends and at night -- they are put into a queue only to be dealt with hours after the parked car has left.

There are many times that because of how narrow 9th street is, I just call 911, explain to them immediately that it is not an emergency call, and then tell them where the illegally parked cars are located, and that they are blocking traffic or making pedestrians walk into a street. They will ALWAYS, and almost immediately, send a patrol car.
