We live in a country that has freedom of speech and religion. The Constitution guarantees it.. It also cuts both ways that we are not to force you to follow a State religion,, nor are we to forbid you to practice your sincerely held belies. If something is laying on a table, that is not being 'bombarded'.. if I threw it at you then that is 'bombarded'.
It's unfortunate that you have chosen to reject that God loves you, but that is your problem. Did you see the other materials there, that advertise property for sale.. do you feel forced to buy? The Hispanic newpaper? Do you feel compelled to learn Spanish? What is not acceptable to our City is the hysterical negativity which you exhibit towards a certain segment of our society. You mean the same government that protects everyone's freedom of speech and expression, including your right to post your difference of opinion here? If this really offends you, then our annual holiday light display on the Green must send you into hysterics. Seriously, there are far worse things in New Haven than some religious material on a bulletin board. Gun violence for one. Homelessness for another. And lets not forget the huge unemployment rate here. But by all means go ahead and whine about some religious material on a bulletin board....
