Thank you for reporting this issue. An Officer for this area will make contact with the occupants and inform them that garbage containers can be put out 24 hours before garbage pick-up and must be put away 12 hours after pick-up. We will also notify the occupants that if garbage collection is missed or there is a need for additional items to be picked up, to call the City of College Station Sanitation Department at 979.764.3690 to arrange for an additional collection. Updates will be posted here.

This is so petty. Some people go out of town work nights may be sick and might have had energy to put it out at that time and just haven't had energy to bring it back in yet. Sick. Disabled. You never know. Leave them alone about a dern trash can. Petty petty petty waste of garbage time!!!!!

I am sorry but this is an eyesore and will be reported. It is my duty as resident to make sure the yards are not eyesores. the fact that when I reported this that it was the only can out and that I have seen it out on numerous occasions it is the duty to have the residents educated on our sanitation. Why not have your neighbors help you then if you can't.

How about a suggestion. Speak to your neighbor. Like I have, asking it's ok for you to put their can back in its place when trash if picked up. That's a polite neighborly gesture. I do this for one of my neighbors and I'm disabled and in a wheelchair. You should be perfectly capable. And it sounds to me like the resident was within guidelines. 24hrs in advance for can to be out. And 12 hrs to put away after trash is picked up. Trash doesn't get picked up till 12-3 around here.

The Code Officer reported that this was move-out/clean-up/make-ready trash; everything was picked up on the next trash and bulky days.
