Description
Over the years I have been worried about the effectiveness of the short fire hydrant during a fire emergency. The height of the hydrant is only 17 inches and the height of the center position of the side water outflows are only 7 inches. Fire department personnel, in an emergency, would have trouble opening the hydrant quickly. I was advised by Mr. Don Dehart, a former Danvers BPW head, that the hydrant height is not up to code. Also the hydrant does not have a marker. Please replace hydrant as soon as possible. Thank You,
