As I was about to get on the descending escalator to the Metro at around 10:00p last night - Sunday (9/13) - I saw what looked like the father and son team putting dragging the mattresses down the south side New Hampshire Ave on their way to dump them in front of ex Sweet Mango, which I saw when I returned to the neighborhood. Looked like hard work, as they were taking a little break at every 15-20 feet. Nothing quite like father-son togetherness activities that instill a hard work ethic and civic pride! That kid is definitely going to be a winner, way to go dad! Maybe next week a little arts and crafts with spray paint - a\someone's garage door or storefront would certainly make for a great canvas.
