I have only been working in the area a few months, but I have seen drivers run the signal at this crossing every time I have used it. I have seen drivers run the red light when I have already made it to the median (already 8-10 seconds of red light!), run the light while taking a left turn from Pamlico, and run the light when turning right out of the Alexan. Drivers don't seem to notice or pay attention to the signal. There are signs in both directions, but additional caution lights while the crossing is active would be a great addition.
