I remember discussing lots of great ideas for improving road safety in a public meeting with our alderman and the department of transportation. I left that meeting feeling really good, but I'm also concerned that nothing concrete has been done yet. I'm positive the department has better plans in place than a goofy pedestrian sign that everyone knows will be moved (it always has been). Could they share those plans with residents soon?

Not even one ticket has been written at these streets, not even after the Attorney sped down Wooster Street and killed the lady in the crosswalk.

The attorney was NOT speeding! Even most cars are not speeding. It is a combination of mis-timed traffic lights which the Dept. of Traffic & Parking refuse to reset. Also, the no standing sign on Olive street is not placed far enough back in positioning. INCREDIBLE with all these Yale trained people living around here that a G.E.D. can figure this out and these "professional" residents have yet to decipher. This insight involves a blockage of enormous self-centeredness that no intellect can super-cede unfortunately.

Speed Kills.

More needs to be done than a sign that can moved at whim.
