As of 7:35 am this morning (2/18/15), the situation was repeated. Is there any mechanism for the city to view the situation outside of the normal 9 am - 5 pm work schedule, especially since overnight parking on the front lawn can't be observed during the day? Are fresh tire-marks adequate evidence that this is occurring? Thanks!
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I reported this to Code Compliance and they are looking into it.

On Sunday and Monday 3/8 & 3/9 the residences were still parking on the lawn. It is now obvious that they are on the lawn since the snow under where the vehicles are driving is now melted and snow and ruts are visible. Although the East side of Lansing isn't as rich as Moore'r River Drive where many local political figures live, we still are a RESIDENCIAL neighborhood. Parking on the grassy lawns lowers the appearance of the entire neighborhood. Since we are now at 3 weeks since this was reported here, why are we not able to observe this code-violation parking stopping?
I called Code Compliance on 3/9; they said that no one from the Mayor's office contacted them so they were unaware of this issue. They also mentioned that they do not actively monitor this site. Issue is still continuing.
I contacted the Code Compliance office to confirm that the report has been made. As you stated, their office typically does not post resolutions on SeeClickFix, so the Mayor's Office will try to keep you updated as the investigation continues. To follow up on the complaint, you may also contact Code Compliance at (517)483-4361.
