We have had water sitting at the edge of our driveway from rainfalls & snow for almost a year now.
It started right after the City repaired a fire hydrogen that was leaking somewhere in our neighborhood it seems. I thought it was a Board of Water & Light problem so I sent them an e-mail and they were so responsive and came right out, however it was in January and there was too much snow & and an ice build up at the edge of our driveway, so they said once the snow melted they would return, which they did. The repairman told me that it is a City of Lansing problem, and they believe it is caused because the City has not repaired a pipe in the street, almost in front of our house (4122 Rivershell) The street surface is not flat and the Board of Water & Light said they reported it to the city in 2012 that they needed to repair it, but it hasn't. I was told that could be the reason that water sits at the edge of our driveway for days before drying up and then rain or snow again. We desperately want this repaired. Below is the comment from the Board of Water & Light:

Water crew and customer met about the end of driveway holding water, it is dry now and only holds water after a rain. She is to contact the City regarding this issue.
Would you please repair this so we do not have to go through another summer with water along the curb and especially at the end of our driveway.
Thank you in advance for your immediate attention:

Sidewalk on the south side of Saginaw, just west of Lasalle, there is a very low hanging wire - I almost hit my head on it. I don't think it's live, I think it's debris from the ice storm that was just never taken care of.

Storm drains are clogged with leaves and debris throughout this neighborhood, rain water is unable to drain away and is covering roadways. Perhaps the city should engage in some street sweeping to remove debris and prevent this from happening.

The curb cuts on Jerome at this corner of N. Holmes make for a dangerous path for bicyclists using Jerome heading East - West to avoid Michigan Ave. Please add a more bike-friendly curb cut that allows bikes to move through here so they don't have to come to an almost complete stop to pass through here.

Mr Gene Rhinehart passed away in December and the grass has never been mowed also back yard has tree limbs laying around from the ice storm along with a wire from the mast that apparently came loose. Can someone check on this home? Thank you

These bollards on either side of one of the bridges on the River Trail headed towards Scotts' Woods just south of Mt. Hope Rd. need some reflective material added as people might run into them in low light. Don't understand why these bollards are even necessary.

The rail road tracks are in horrible condition there is always pieces and parts of cars in the road way and the business driveways, when is the city going to force the Blissfield Railway to either fix this or remove the tracks. The employees that work adjacent to the tracks have reported several flat tires because of the debris in the road way and drives. Let alone the damage to the cars that cross it all day long.
