  The Department of Public Works has provided an update on this request. The tree is question has been identified as an Oak tree. To prevent the spread of Oak Wilt, oak trees can only be cut during the winter season. This tree is on the tree service list for winter. This request will remain in "in progress" status until the tree can be cut. Once it has been completed, the request will be closed out.   The Department of Public Works has provided an update on this request. The tree in question has been marked for removal with a "moderate" risk level prioritization. Once all of the high-risk trees have been removed, they will be moving on to the moderate risk level. There is no date set at this time for removal. You will be notified of the removal via door hanger a few days prior to the removal.
