The tires aren't gone, they were just moved off of the sidewalk. And there are many more tires on the other side of this fence. Between the trash, the tires, the unraked leaves on the sidewalk, the barely-standing fence and the graffitied, boarded up houses, this lot has become a real neighborhood eyesore.
In total agreement. Alders, over the years, have tried to get the owners of this house to do something, to no avail, really. I would love to have LCI finally start fining the property owners, who never do anything they're supposed to do with this place. Considering how much money they could have been making, all this time, had they fixed the place up and rented it out, it's ridiculous and enraging.
Are the two abandoned houses owned by the same people who own the old warehouse/factory building? That building is now being used every once in a while for selling antiques - so at least someone is around and should be taking care of the entire lot.
