This pile of debris is growing by the day! There is a pile of debris on the property itself (at the rear of the garage) which the owners have not removed. I don't see and incentive for them to remove the property that is on the city sidewalk. Please make the decision to remove the debris from the city sidewalk and cite the property owner. You may want to contact the owner of the property across the street @ 154 Frank Street as it appears that much of this new debris is construction scrap - probably from the 'illegal renovations' he's made to his 24 Truman Street property to turn the basement into rooms to rent ) ... just as he attempted to do earlier this year at 154 Frank Street (http://www.newhavenindependent.org/index.php/archives/entry/mr._kellys_story_crumbles/).

I have notice my mail is despairing by this time I other years receive more the 30 and today is the day no postcard form no one so saturday 20 of december i had send myself a postcard and this is the day no post card my father that is 73 has been on the look out and he haven't seen the postman does anyone else have this problem??/ on Frank St ...My family are worry cause they had send picture, gift card I haven't said thank you, this is going on, Who else should i call...believe me I had left a few messages on the postmaster voice mail and by the way somebody left in front of my home mattress and a table organizer ....

It looks to me like they are renovating the house. The stuff is on the private property. You are expecting that he call bulk trash every other day for removal bit by bit? It is more cost effictien for everybody if you let him finish and then take it all away at once with a dumpster. Remember to treat other people as you would want to be treated.

To guest: Renovation or not, this is completely unacceptable and it is not how we do business in the city. The cost effective thing to do is to get a dumpster and remove all the garbage at once, assuming this came from the private renovation job. Also, the City will not cart off construction debris with bulk trash. Thank You.

To Guest - as a resident of this neighborhood who reported this issue, I can assure you that this debris is not as a result of renovation. If that were the case the 'non-resident' property owner should have disposed of the debris in a proper manner; either in a dumpster or at the least, piled it on HIS property and not the city sidewalk. This is an area of heavy pedestrian traffic and the safety of the residents who travers that walkway should not be jeopardized because a property owner 'did not do the right thing'. The reference to renovation was made to someone else in the neighborhood (not this property owner) who may be using it as a dumping site. We should treat people the way we want to be treated, and ask only the same from absentee property owners who own properties in OUR neighborhood.
