A plate number would be helpful in directing the parks department to follow up -

Without the more specific data on traffic enforcement from the NHPD, it will be extremely difficult to request action and track progress on speeding enforcement at a neighborhood level. All of the neighborhood management teams throughout New Haven, as well as more than 30 elected officials, have been requesting this since 2008, but progress was more or less nonexistent between 2008 and 2010 (with the exception of a dozen or so neighborhood speeding reports from our police spokesperson over the course of those three years), and is now being held up because our traffic division currently has no staff. Bottom line is that the community currently has very little idea of what is going on - without that, there's no way to solve the issue.

Issue from 2011. I have followed up on more recent reports to SCF of city vehicles violating traffic laws, and please report any such instances you see with as much identifying information as possible. Please report as either "traffic/road safety" category, or "policing issue" if it is a police vehicle to ensure it comes to the proper person's attention promptly.
