To whom it may concern, an empty police car parked for hours with its engine off does not denote police presence. Cars illegally stop infront of the police car if it is empty.

For 2011, Franconia-Springfield metro station has the most crime of all Metro Stations in Virginia. Yet, there are never any police around, even car crashes take a long time for a responses.

Reported a year ago,and these problems are only getting worse. Metro police are no existent during rush hour.

Amazing how there is still a lack of presence and enforcement at this metro station.

Each year the kiss and ride pickup area to this station get more congested and more of a pain with being parked in every year. There has not be any improvement in well over 5 years, and still no law enforcement presence, during rush hour at this station.

I've called Metro Police about this, numerous times over the last couple of years. Rush hour is AWFUL. Takes me 15-20 minutes to get out of the Parking garage and on to Frontier because of all the illegal parking/double parking/idling in through lanes.

Perhaps time to get Supervisor McKay involved.

This is not just an issue at this metro, of even Fairfax County metros, this is a problem I have seen metro-WIDE! And I am not concerned with parking or other lane violation as I am at the fact that they preach "SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING" over the intercoms and to "REPORT TO YOUR NEAREST METRO WORKER/GUARD",, yet there are NONE to be found. American's compare Russia and other nations as 3rd world, however, having been there,, there metro KICKS our behinds in security, efficiency, AND security.. I couldn't go 50 meters without seeing a genuine security guard in in an official outfit AND willing to provide directions,, much unlike our workers/guards (if they can be found). If the government needs help figuring out how to 'make jobs', here is a GREAT start...

Issues still exists
