It has been this way for years, and every year the problem grows worse. Metro security is rarely present at the Franconia-Springfield station. At this small location, the Kiss and Ride pickup area, there are always honking horns, road rage fights, and cars not stopping for pedestrians at the new crosswalk with two tall stop signs. The problem is worse in the winter time, so during the winter its best just to say away from using the metro.
